I started my law practice as a DuPage county prosecutor in 1989. While working as a prosecutor, I supervised the work of other attorneys on a variety of cases. I have also had the distinct honor of drafting new legislation for the Illinois Marriage and Dissolution of Marriage Act. I testified before the Illinois state legislature with regard to the needed changes. The legislation that I proposed was enacted into law. As a prosecutor, I received the civil division award for outstanding service to the county of DuPage
